Every material, from rare woods stocked exclusively for Private Stock, to eye-catching inlays and exclusive colors exclusively available through Private Stock, is dedicated to creating these one-of-a-kind, special Private Stock models.

Their artistic finish and exceptional sound have earned them rave reviews from customers worldwide, making them a highly sought-after, iconic PRS series despite their high price tags.

This Private Stock guitar, based on the Custom 24-08 Semi-Hollow, is crafted using the finest materials available at the PRS factory.

The body top, finished in “Midnight Orchid Glow,” features a stunning curly maple top with prominent heather grain. The vibrant color of the top creates a beautiful guitar that stands out at first glance.

The body back, paired with the top, is crafted from black limba (black korina), offering an exotic look and the punchy yet warm midrange character of black limba.

The neck, finished in a patterned thin shape, is crafted from the same curly maple as the top. The exquisitely grained curly maple neck features a gradient color that matches the top, creating a unified finish. The neck heel features an abalone Cooper’s hawk bird inlay with a white mother-of-pearl outline, a subtle touch that adds a touch of exclusivity to a Private Stock guitar.

The fingerboard and headstock are crafted from ziricote.

This wood has been gaining attention in recent limited edition models, such as the “40th Anniversary McCarty Dragon” and “Charcoal Phoenix Limited Edition.” Its beautiful appearance, distinctive patterning, and excellent acoustic properties, combined with its rich harmonic sustain and clear, three-dimensional tone, make it an ideal material for high-end instruments. The PRS signature bird inlay on the fingerboard is made of the same material as the neck heel inlay. It features an abalone base with a white mother-of-pearl outline, adding a touch of natural sparkle to the fretboard.

This instrument is equipped with TCI pickups.

With the goal of capturing the clarity, richness, and musicality of single-coil pickups, the instrument was crafted with the ultimate in sound in mind, having spent countless hours researching vintage single-coil pickups. By defining the ideal sound goal from the outset and designing a pickup that achieves that goal, the result is a pickup that consistently delivers a very pure vintage sound.

It produces a musical and captivating tone that offers a wide range of sounds, from spunky single coils to full soap bars.

Two mini toggle switches on the controls allow for coil tapping of the pickups, allowing for a wide variety of tones by combining each pickup position. While many people may be hesitant to order one due to the high price and patient delivery time, this guitar is sure to satisfy its owner with both its looks and sound.
