Predicated on the luxurious use of high-grade tonewoods, it specifically addresses the question of how to musically reproduce the resulting resonance. Selecting the double-narrow 408 pickups from the Collection Series Brent Mason Signature, the 408 system developed through trial and error, it achieves practical single-coil/humbucking pickup switching and integration, delivering a rich, expressive tone with a versatile yet easily controllable sound output, achieving a level never before achieved. Its meticulous craftsmanship is so impressive it’s no exaggeration to say it approaches the level of a private stock guitar.

While Paul’s guitars typically feature a stop-tail bridge, this model features the long-awaited PRS Tremolo. This allows for arm-flexing, which wasn’t possible with the stop-tail bridge, and combined with the 408 pickup, it offers a truly expressive range.
