PRS McCarty 2009 (McCarty Sunburst)
Description
This classic model bears the name of Ted McCarty.
It was created with the advice of Ted McCarty, former president of Gibson and involved in the development of the Les Paul.
With a thicker body than the Custom 22 or 24 and a wide, fat neck profile, it offers a more classic, traditional sound than other PRS models.
The pickups are based on 1957 humbuckers and feature two ’57/’08 pickups developed in 2008. True to its design, it excels in a vintage-inspired sound, while the tone push/pull controls allow for brilliant single-coil tones.
Since 2000, PRS has been a major force in hard, heavy band sounds, and this vintage-inspired McCarty is a truly unique instrument.
There is some paint peeling on the tip of the headstock, and the neck grip has scattered dents of various sizes.
There are also dents and paint chips scattered around the outer edge of the body top, and numerous scratches overall.
There are signs of use, such as some tarnish on the hardware, but all parts have been maintained and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is good.
Product Rank: B: Significant scratches and signs of use, but in good condition for normal use.
