John Mayer, one of the three greatest guitarists of the new world, continues to garner followers around the world. This 2020 Paul Reed Smith (PRS) John Mayer model features a silver sky maple fingerboard and lacquer finish.

Having played a variety of guitars, Mayer finally settled on the Paul Reed Smith. This model, perfected through repeated trial and error to embody his ideal of “a guitar that combines the feel of a vintage guitar with modern beauty,” embodies John’s unique approach. Equipped with

PRS’s original 635JM single-coil pickup, designed to capture the sound of the vintage guitars manufactured in 1963-64, beloved by John and Paul, this guitar is crafted with a design concept that sets it apart from past models. It

shows signs of use, including weather cracks around the joint plate, scuffs and scratches from playing, pick marks, and discoloration and nicks on metal parts and screws.

Upon arrival, the guitar was set up (cleaned, strings replaced, rod adjusted, octave adjusted, and string height adjusted). The frets are at a comfortable height for playing, and the truss rod has been checked to 60 degrees left and right, so it is in perfect condition.
