The Custom 22 is a 22-fret version of the company’s flagship Custom 24. It features an artist-grade one-piece quilted maple top and a mahogany back. The neck is mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard features a beautiful, winged bird inlay. This particular model features a 10-top, a higher-grade top than the standard Custom 24, featuring beautifully grained maple. It’s equipped with Dragon II pickups and a wide-fat neck pattern with a stop tail for enhanced string resonance. It’s in such pristine condition that it’s hard to believe it’s over 20 years old. Although there are some scratches and small dents, the gold parts are in good condition with little tarnish. The truss rod has plenty of room, and playability is excellent.
