PRS Custom 24 10-Top 2002 (Vintage Yellow) Wide Thin Neck
Description
We’ve just received a Custom 24 in PRS’ signature color, “Vintage Yellow”! This 10-top model features an attractive thin stripe!
[Custom 24]
The Custom 24, a PRS signature model, has undergone numerous specification changes and has always led the music scene of the era. Its beautiful appearance, excellent playability and durability, and tonal variety all meet player demands, while its flexibility for a wide range of genres makes it a favorite of guitarists worldwide.
[Body, Neck, and Fingerboard]
The body features a classic combination of a flame maple top, mahogany back, and mahogany neck. The fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood.
[Neck Shape]
The neck shape is “Wide Thin.” The wide, thin grip makes it ideal for fast playing and lead playing.
[Pickups]
This guitar is equipped with the classic “HFS (Vintage Bass)” pickups. HFS, which stands for “Hot, Fat, Screams,” is an evolution of the original Standard Treble pickup. The HFS pickup is a powerful pickup with a balanced attack, clear highs, strong mids, and robust lows. The Vintage Bass features a warm high-mid sound ideal for rock and jazz.
[Selector, etc.]
The 5-way rotary pickup delivers a wide range of sounds that complement a wide range of genres. The coil-tap sound in the mixed position is particularly unique to this 5-way rotary pickup.
PRS has long been a favorite of guitarists of all genres. You’ll experience maximum performance in a variety of settings, including live performances, sessions, and recording .
[Specifications/Condition]
While there are signs of wear commensurate with age, such as scratches and slight cloudiness on the cutaway,
our repair center has cleaned, sanded, and adjusted the entire pickup, including touching up any peeling clear coat on the neck side, ensuring playability. You can use this guitar with confidence.
The strap pin, which was previously replaced with a non-genuine one, has been replaced with a genuine (current type) one.
The fine pinstripe grain has faded recently.
Additionally, the HFS Treble and Vintage Bass are not included in current models.
While PRS seems to be moving in a more traditional direction in recent years,
this model seems to have more power and a more mid-range feel than current models. This
is a Custom from a time when the feel of a high-end guitar still remained.
I recommend it for those who use effects frequently.
The look and sound are uniquely appealing from this period, so even if you own a more recent model, this might be a good choice to broaden your sound options.
