Whether you want a rich “this is humbucker” tone or a nuanced, sweet single coil sound, the McCarty Singlecut 594 can be seamlessly and freely drawn out with the 58/15 LT+ pickup and push/pull coil tap tone control. The electronics layout, select key specs, and PRS craftsmanship combine to ensure that this guitar always stays in tune and has accurate intonation no matter where you play on the neck, making it feel like you’ve been playing it for years.

Meticulously crafted for the ultimate playing feel and warm, vintage tone, the McCarty Singlecut 594 features a 22-fret, 24.594″ scale bound Pattern Vintage neck with a slightly thicker back for fuller tone and sustain, TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance), a zinc alloy two-piece stoptail bridge with brass saddles and studs for extra resonance, and vintage-style tuners.

late 1980s, Paul Reed Smith asked Ted McCarty to consult on guitar design and manufacturing techniques. McCarty became not only a mentor, but also a great friend to Paul and everyone he met at PRS. In 1994, he released the first McCarty, which he generously incorporated the techniques and knowledge he had absorbed from Ted, as well as Ted’s own experience as a guitar builder.
