The PRS Swamp Ash Special features a swamp ash body, offering a unique look and sonic variety within the Bolt-On series. It features an HSH (humbucker/single/humbucker) pickup configuration, including two ’58/’15 LT pickups and a PRS Narrowfield pickup in the middle position. Despite its humbucking configuration, the Narrowfield pickup delivers the crisp, single-coil sound. The control section, a first for this model, combines volume, tone, a 5-way blade switch, and two mini-toggle switches for coil taps. From a thick, sweet sound at the tone knob to a vibrant, sparkling sound at full throttle, the PRS Swamp Ash Special offers 12 versatile sound-shaping options.

Featuring a 22-fret, 25-inch scale maple neck and fingerboard, PRS’s original tremolo, and Phase III tuners, this model’s greatest appeal lies in the lack of volume difference when switching between humbucking and single-coil pickups. The PRS
