The PRS Standard is a model based on an all-mahogany guitar made by Paul Reed Smith during the pre-factory period. The all-mahogany specification gives this model a warm midrange tone, which is one of its major features. The extremely thin lacquer satin finish gives it a beauty that stands out for its simplicity and robustness.

The PRS Standard 24 also features many of the classic PRS specifications, such as a 25-inch scale, 24 frets, a 10-inch radius rosewood fingerboard, a pattern thin neck shape, a PRS original tremolo, and Phase III tuners.
As for electronics, in addition to volume and tone controls and a 5-way blade switch, it is equipped with PRS’s newly developed DMO treble and bass pickups. The DMO pickups (Dynamic, Musical, Open) have a wide range of sound characteristics, like a vocal, and produce a transparent and modern sound over a wide frequency range from low to high.

Designed by Paul Reed Smith and the PRS new product engineering team, this pickup is packed with all the know-how we have gained in recent product development, from long-term research into vintage pickups to improvements in pickup sound analysis and tuning techniques.

This PRS Standard will be a reliable presence for musicians regardless of the playing environment.
