This particular model is labeled “Custom Color” and features a gold finish not available in our color lineup. This is a one-of-a-kind piece, so consider it soon!

[S2 Series]
S2 stands for “Stevensville 2.”
During development of this series, we decided to launch it as a separate series from the CORE line, and established a separate production line (2nd Line) in our Maryland workshop (Stevensville), hence the name.

By simplifying the body shape, unifying the neck scale and shape, introducing a new finish process, and incorporating newly developed hardware with that of the CORE line, we have achieved efficiency in both the guitar itself and options.

Inspired by the sound of vintage guitars, the S2 McCarty 594 combines the distinctive sound of vintage humbuckers and single-coil pickups with modern playability. This model features a slightly thicker neck with 22 bound frets and a pattern vintage neck profile, providing long sustain and comfortable playability. The S2 McCarty 594’s core features include a

two-piece bridge with brass saddles and steel studs, a bone nut, and PRS Phase III tuners with untreated brass shafts. Paired with the USA-made ’58/15 LT pickups, which deliver the warm, organic sound of late-1950s humbuckers, it delivers a truly exceptional vintage sound.

Furthermore, the independent dual volume and push/pull tone control layout allows for seamless transitions between the rich midrange of the humbucker sound and the clarity and sensitivity of vintage single-coil sounds. Inheriting

the DNA of the McCarty Core series and the S2 series concept, the S2 McCarty 594 is sure to become your go-to instrument.

The S2 series also features a high-gloss nitro finish (lacquer), achieving the same quality as the Core model.
While many people may find PRS guitars out of reach due to their high price tag, the S2 series offers a relatively affordable way to enjoy the USA sound.
