The Custom 24 is also known as the signature model of PRS, and has always been the core model of PRS since its announcement at Winter NAMM in 1985.

This Custom 24-08 inherits the core specifications of the Custom 24, such as maple top, mahogany back and neck, 24 frets, 25-inch scale, PRS original design Gen III tremolo unit, and Phase III tuners with newly designed wing buttons, while the TCI pickups and EQ mini toggle switch allow for eight different sound making variations.
In addition, while the TCI pickup has a humbucker structure, it produces a sound that is both thick and brilliant, reminiscent of a single coil or soap bar. When the EQ mini toggle switch is turned on (upper position), a high-pass filter is activated, shelving the low range and creating a clearer, more musical tone in the high range.

In addition to PRS’s high playability and reliability, the Custom 24-08 has a wide range of sound making, so please check it out.

[Individual description]
By changing from the conventional 85/15 pickup to a TCI pickup, it outputs a clear, musical sound with a sense of attack and a core. It is also characterized by its rich dynamics, and is very responsive to the player’s touch and picking style, capturing the subtle nuances of the sound and enabling expressive playing.
The shape of the pickup seems to be categorized as a “mini humbucker”, but the sound output seems to be more like a “P-90” type.

The conventional model had a fully completed sound, but I was surprised that it would still evolve. Once you play it, you will understand what the official “musical sound” means.
