The PRS 40th Anniversary Custom 24-08 Semi-Hollow Limited Edition is now available! Limited to just 300 units worldwide, the Custom 24-08 Semi-Hollow Limited Edition celebrates PRS’s 40th anniversary.

While retaining the core specifications of the original Custom 24, which debuted in 1985 as PRS’s flagship model, the Custom 24-08 features the latest TCI pickups and an EQ mini-toggle switch for enhanced sonic versatility. This Limited Edition model differs from the regular model in special features, including a semi-hollow construction, ziricote fingerboard and headstock veneer, and “old school” bird inlays. This model features a 10-Top grade figured maple top, mahogany back and neck, and ziricote fingerboard. All of these features undergo PRS’s proprietary wood-drying process, resulting in a neck that is resistant to environmental changes and a body that maximizes string vibration. The semi-hollow construction with F-holes not only adds to the elegant look, but also produces a rich, full-bodied tone. The latest TCI pickups, a key feature of this model, feature new American-made alnico magnets and updated manufacturing processes, creating a more articulate, musical sound than ever before. Two EQ mini-toggle switches function as high-pass filters, shelving the low frequencies when engaged and enhancing the high frequencies for a clearer, more musical sound. “This EQ switch was originally developed for the Private Stock John McLaughlin model, released in 2023. At the time, John and I felt that the sound it provided played a vital and impressive role in that model.
