We’ve just received the latest McCarty 594 10Top, featuring a premium figured maple top! This instrument is in excellent condition, boasting beautifully sculpted maple grain and a McCarty Sunburst finish.

The McCarty 594 combines vintage style with modern playability, featuring a coil tap function and single-coil neck and bridge pickups for versatile sonic variation, making it one of PRS’s signature models. The McCarty 594’s 22-fret bound Pattern Vintage neck and meticulously engineered body thickness balance for rich tone and sustain. The 58/15 LT vintage-style pickups, which have undergone TCI (Tuned Capacitance & Inductance) processing for clarity and midrange focus, are also included. The instrument also features vintage-style tuners and a two-piece bridge.

“Everything that touches the strings is crucial to the guitar’s sound—specifically the bridge, nut, and tuners. So, when we developed the McCarty model, updating these components significantly improved the tone,” said Paul Reed Smith. In the late

1980s, Paul Reed Smith consulted with Ted McCarty about guitar design and construction techniques, and that collaboration ultimately led to the release of the first McCarty in 1994. The McCarty model incorporates all of the techniques and knowledge Paul inherited from Ted, as well as his own experience as a guitar builder. In 2020, more than 20 years after the McCarty’s debut, PRS introduced updated TCI-tuned pickups and a nitro-over-cellulose (CAB) finish.
