DGT (David Grissom Trem) is a model that can be said to be the crystallization of the collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and David Grissom that has lasted for over 20 years. This model is based on the McCarty, but has an original neck shape and slightly higher frets, and is equipped with a pickup that has been tuned specifically for it. The DGT humbucker pickup that produces this vintage sound was completed after Paul and David spent a huge amount of time A/B testing more than 40 sets of prototypes. The control section is a dual volume and push/pull tone control, and the thick, lustrous single coil sound produced by the coil tap is one of the great attractions of this model.
