The Vintage Inspiration with Rock-Solid Design

S2 Series was launched in 2013 with a simpler, more straightforward design that expresses PRS’s guitar-making skills, experience, and attention to detail. The series began with three models, including the S2 Custom 24, and over the past decade has expanded to include more than 10 models. The 10th Anniversary S2 Custom 24 is a special model worthy of celebrating the S2 Series’ 10th anniversary. While the S2 Custom 24 shares the same basic specifications as previous models—maple top, mahogany back, 25-inch scale, 24 frets, pattern-thin neck, and PRS’s patented molded tremolo—the anniversary model boasts special features, including a Cuban mahogany neck, mother-of-pearl bird inlays, and USA-made 85/15 pickups.

PRS has invested countless hours in pickup research, from sound to design. The pickups, now equipped with the TCI process, deliver a rich, transparent, and balanced sound, whether you’re using them for pedalboard shaping or plugging them directly into an amp.

This marks the first time that the USA-made 85/15 pickups have been featured in the S2 series, featuring one volume, one tone, and a five-way blade switch.

(Note: The three-way switch with push-pull tone control offers a different sound.)

The 10th Anniversary S2 Custom 24 will be limited to 1,000 units. The S2 Series, named Stevensville 2 for “Stevensville 2,” was launched in the PRS factory in Stevensville, Maryland. It combined new manufacturing methods with exceptional quality control and manufacturing techniques to create a new price point lineup. Over the past decade, the business has grown significantly, and some of the manufacturing processes have now been integrated into the Core and Bolt-On model production lines.
