“Custom 24-08” featuring a purple mist color and a beautifully arranged figured maple of 10top!
The latest spec “Custom 24-08” with a new TCI pickup is in stock!
The Custom 24 is synonymous with PRS and has always been at the heart of PRS since it was unveiled at Winter NAMM in 1985.
And this Custom 24-08 inherits the basic specifications of the Custom series, such as a maple top, mahogany back and neck, 24 frets, 25-inch scale, and a Gen III tremolo unit of PRS’s original design. Two mini-switches for coil taps allow for eight different types of sound making. In addition to the high playability and reliability of PRS, the Custom 24-08 is attractive with a wide range of sound making.
Starting with the 2024 model year, the peg buttons have been updated, and the wing pegs are designed to resemble the Cooper’s Hawk used for the 12th fret bird inlays.
The wing pegs are based on Paul’s 1982 design, and are lighter than the old metal pegs, resulting in less midrange and sustain attenuation, longer tones and a more musical sound.
By changing from the
conventional 85/15 pickup to the TCI pickup, it outputs a clear and musical sound with a sense of attack and core. It is also characterized by a richness of dynamics, which is very responsive to the player’s touch and picking style, capturing the subtle nuances of the sound and enabling expressive playing.
As for the shape of the pickup, it seems that it is categorized as a “mini humbucker”, but if anything, the sound output seems to have a taste like the “P-90” type.
The previous model also had a fully completed sound, but I was surprised that it would still evolve. Once you play it, you will understand the meaning of the “musical sound” that is officially claimed.
Please experience the new “Custom 24-08”!
