Since the dawn of rock, one of the essential elements of rock has been the responsiveness of a bolt-on neck. Eventually, it became essential for musicians to weave their own stories through rock.

The bolt-on CE 24 has been updated and has been revived in the PRS lineup. The body is made of PRS’s traditional mahogany back and maple top, and the maple neck with rosewood fretboard is bolted on. The neck has a Pattern Thin curve and a satin nitro finish for a natural and addictive feel.

To further accentuate the CE 24’s unique tone and clear sound, the pickups are 85/15, designed by Paul himself, which have high clarity and good extension in both the top and low ends. The controls are one volume, push/pull tone control, and a three-way toggle switch that can switch between six different sounds.

The original CE debuted in 1988. It fascinated guitarists with its crisp sound unique to the traditional bolt-on neck and its unique PRS design that boasts high quality. After being removed from the lineup for nearly 10 years, the CE 24 has been brought back after many improvements.
