The StingRay Special has been updated with preamps, pickups, hardware redesign, and the adoption of a roasted maple neck, on the StingRay, which has supported the music scene of every era without changing since its introduction in 1976. It

features a select hardwood body, roasted maple neck/rosewood fingerboard.
The pickup is a neodymium pickup with high output and wide range, and a newly designed 18-volt 3-band EQ/preamp. The change to a neodymium pickup outputs a well-balanced sound with a boomy low range at the bottom, a powerful sound that cuts through to the top. By linking it to the equalizer at hand, it has a wide range of sound variations. It seems that it has become even more useful in any genre.
