And this “Q” (Quest) series is the new headless guitar option that Ibanez has prepared.

Of course, this is not just making existing models headless or assembling them with headless parts, but a new quest to “develop a completely new guitar from scratch.”
We have studied the playing styles of various players and pursued uniqueness and originality in everything from parts such as pickups, bridges, and string locks to the design of the body.

The “Q” that was born in this way is a headless guitar that satisfies the insatiable curiosity of guitarists who continue to pursue their own possibilities regardless of genre.

Features

Parallel Wizard 5pc Roasted Maple/Bubinga neck
The “Parallel Wizard-7 neck” has a uniform neck thickness of 19mm throughout the entire length. It provides surprisingly easy fingering playability for players who hold the guitar at a high position. In addition, the 5pc structure of roasted maple and bubinga provides excellent stability and durability.

Ebony fretboard
Ebony material is used, which has excellent sound rise and bright tone.

Jumbo Jescar EVOgold™ frets
JESCAR EVOgold™ frets are used, which are an alloy made of copper, tin, iron, and titanium. Not only does it have a gorgeous gold look, but it also has a bright tone and high durability compared to nickel silver frets.

Pale Moon Ebony top / Nyatoh body
The body top is made of pale moon ebony (speckled ebony), which has a characteristic grain like ink dripped onto white paper, and the body material is Nyatoh, which has excellent plump mid-low range characteristics.

Q58 HH pickups
Equipped with the 7-string humbucker pickup “Q58-7” designed for “Q” in HH arrangement. Designed to make it easy to make sounds with effects, etc., so that the entire frequency range can be heard in a balanced manner. The low range is not muddy and powerful, and even when distorted, the 7-string sound does not become blurred, and the high range is clear but mellow. In addition, it is low noise and works well with both digital and analog effects.

Custom string lock
Ibanez’s newly developed “Custom string lock” has a simple one-piece structure.
It is highly durable and easy to replace strings. In addition, you can use your favorite gauge and brand of strings without needing dedicated strings.

Mono-Tune bridgesThe
intonation can be adjusted to a wide range, making it easy to tune down one step or even more. The string height can also be easily adjusted. The number of parts that make up the saddle has been reduced as much as possible, resulting in a natural sound that allows the guitar body to resonate.

a single switch, you can freely switch between humbucker mode and single coil mode, allowing you to play 10 different sound variations.
In power tap mode, one coil is tapped and the other coil is specially wired to make use of the low range, resulting in a clear high range and a thick, well-defined sound that cannot be obtained with a simple tap.
This switching system is suitable for modern guitar players who have to play multiple roles with limited equipment.

Slanted fretsAll
frets are evenly slanted at an 8-degree angle. Many modern players tend to hold their guitars higher in order to play advanced and complex techniques such as tapping, fingerstyle, and slap playing. When you hold it in a high position like this, the four fingers pressing the strings naturally tilt inward. The frets are tilted to fit this, allowing you to play with a more natural feel.
