SG. The current Modern Collection SG Standard incorporates the characteristics of the late ’60s SG.
The rounded mahogany neck, bound rosewood fingerboard, and long tenon joint near the 19th fret maximize the resonance of the solid mahogany body, producing a singing sustain.

The 490R/490T pickups with Alnico 2 magnets deliver ample power for a driven sound, while the 5-ply full-face pickguard adds a unique presence.
This new SG Standard offers a classic yet versatile finish.
