Gibson Marcus King ES-345 Sixties (Cherry Red)
Description
The highly anticipated Marcus King ES-345 is here!
Marcus King is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his soulful voice, guitar technique and diverse influences.
Originally from South Carolina, Marcus King was born into a musical family and began playing guitar at an early age. His father, Marvin King, was a blues guitarist and his grandfather was a country musician.
The Gibson Marcus King ES-345 is more than just an artist signature model.
It is a reflection of his own roots, a personalized version of a classic model passed down from King’s grandfather to his father and then to him.
The new Gibson Marcus King ES-345 retains the look and feel of the 1962 original that he inherited from his family, and is equipped with only the features that Marcus considers essential, such as standard mono wiring, two Custombucker pickups, a fixed Vibrola tailpiece for tuning stability, and a stud anchor cover custom made for Marcus King. Of course
, it also has all the standard features of an ES-345, such as a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body with a maple center block (for improved sustain and feedback resistance) and gold hardware (ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover Rotomatic tuners). The
mahogany neck has a round profile with a 1.695-inch nut width. Additionally, the Indian rosewood fretboard features acrylic split parallelogram inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a Graph Tech nut for increased tuning stability.
The 60’s cherry finish, just like his beloved guitar, is combined with gold parts to create a classic yet luxurious look.
Comes with a Gibson hardshell case.
