Les Paul Standard ’50s Double Trouble

The Les Paul Standard ’50s Double Trouble is a special edition model that has all the same functions and features as the regular Les Paul Standard 50s model, but with an extra vintage look.

This limited-edition Les Paul differs from the regular Les Paul Standard ’50s model in two ways.
This model is equipped with two Burstbucker 1 and Burstbucker 2 pickups without a pickup cover (open type), each with a double classic white bobbin and a standard Burstbucker Alnico 2 magnet.

There have also been changes to the finish. This model uses a vintage color variant of the standard gloss, nitrocellulose, lacquer finish. While the Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish recreates the like-new finish of the 1950s, the Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble uses a slightly faded full-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer vintage color finish that replicates the texture of natural aging over time. Also, because all of the colors are sprayed by hand, the burst pattern varies slightly from individual to individual.

Despite these additions, the widely loved basic specifications of the Les Paul Standard 50s remain unchanged, including a solid mahogany body with no weight relief, an AA-grade figured maple top, a rounded 50s-style mahogany neck, a rosewood fingerboard, It has a medium jumbo fret with 22 frets, trapezoid inlays. It also features an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, an aluminum stopbar tailpiece, a Vintage Deluxe tuner with keystone buttons, and an aged gold top hat knob with dial pointer.

The calibrated open Burstbucker 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) are identical to the standard Burstbucker, except that they are double classic white bobbins. Hand-crafted, using Alnico 2 magnets, the audio tapered pot and Orange Drop capacitor are manually wired.

The combination of a double classic white bobbin and a vintage finish makes the Les Paul Standard ’50s Double Trouble look elegant and vintage, yet at an affordable price.
