50 years ago, in 1975, Gibson moved its headquarters from Kalamazoo to Nashville and began production at its Nashville, USA factory.

From then until now, Gibson has shaped guitar sounds, supported many artists, and made guitars that have defined music for generations.

In 2025, a milestone year, Gibson will pay new tribute to its heritage with a special 50th anniversary model.

The Les Paul Music City Special 50th Anniversary is a modern take on two of Gibson’s historic models, inspired by the 70’s Marauder and carrying the DNA of the Music City Junior.

The Marauder has long been a favorite of many artists, from Adam Jones to Paul Stanley.

This unique commemorative model pays homage to early Nashville production while incorporating tried and tested modern design elements in the structure and electronics for today’s players.

It features a lightweight, contoured solid poplar body, a comfortable Slim Taper-profile maple neck, and a striped ebony fingerboard with acrylic dot inlays.

The fingerboard radius is 12 inches, making it easy to play first-position chords and bend in the upper positions.

Chrome-plated hardware includes a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, and an output jack plate cover. The instrument

is equipped with two Gibson 70s Tribute humbucker pickups, wired for an intuitive, comfortable control layout with master volume and master tone controls.

It comes with a 50th anniversary truss rod cover and a premium softshell case.
