In April of this year, a Japan dealer went to the Gibson factory in Nashville to purchase a rare model that was sold on the official Gibson USA website as a DTC (Direct to Consumer)-only exclusive product. All of them will be distributed in limited numbers in Japan.

The mahogany body with a maple top and weight relief is eliminated, and the shape is the “50s Vintage Profile” that is conscious of the 50s, and the neck has a grip and a comfortable playability.

The pickups are equipped with “Burstbucker #1 / #2” using an unbalanced coil structure and Alnico 2 magnets, and when the clean tone is raised, it reproduces a rich tone with an air feeling, and when the gain is increased, it reproduces a magical distortion sound that emphasizes the high frequencies that are characteristic of PAF. Instead of the foundation seen in recent Gibsons, the handwired electrical system is equipped with an orange drop capacitor.

Kluson’s “Double Line/Single Ring”, non-wire ABR-1 bridge, aluminum tailpiece, etc., are full of vintage-conscious details.

This Exclusive model has a new “Dark Purple Burst” finish and a glossy “Gloss” finish.
