Description
The model that arrived this time is a reproduction of the 1957 Les Paul Goldtop.
Unlike the burst, which emphasizes the beauty of the grain, the true value of the goldtop is the aging that occurs over many years of use.
The brass powder used as paint in the areas where weather checking has occurred turns green, and the dignity of the goldtop with countless green lines boasts a coolness that the burst can never produce.
And unlike the regular goldtop Les Paul, this model has a dark back body color, which creates a very beautiful contrast with the goldtop.
The neck shape is a comfortable 50s shape.
The 59 neck shape is popular for the Les Paul Standard, but I feel that the thicker shape, which allows you to feel the string vibration firmly from the left hand, also gives you a Les Paul-like sound.
The pickups are equipped with two “Custombucker Alnico III”, which are highly regarded as a PAF reproduction model.
The low-output Alnico 3 magnet is used and the unpotted specification is not soldered, so you can feel a delicate and fine sound image even though it is a humbucker. It
is characterized by not only the sparkle in clean, but also the excellent chord feeling that does not bury the existence of each string even when driven.
One of the pleasant points is the “roughness” that seems to be due to the influence of brass powder, which is unique to the gold top. This
unit has a VOS finish without aging processing.
It is a guitar with the potential to be with you for many years and be developed with your own hands.
Please feel the beauty of the dark back Les Paul Goldtop in your hands.
