Description

This is a 2007 Rory Gallagher Stratocaster from the Fender Custom Shop.

It’s a signature model based on Gallagher’s 1961 Stratocaster, so impressive that his siblings and relatives jokingly nicknamed it “driftwood.” It features an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, five Sperzel tuning machines and one Gotoh tuning machine, three Custom Wound ’60s single-coil pickups, and a clay dot inlay with a white plastic inlay at the 12th fret—a meticulous replica down to the last detail.

This Heavy Relic finish, a fitting homage to the legendary Rory Gallagher, continues to garner a legion of fans.

It features the original heavy aging finish, which appears to have been present since the original was released, but shows only minor signs of wear.

Upon arrival, the guitar was set up (cleaned, strings replaced, rod adjusted, octave adjusted, string height adjusted, and fret filed). The frets are at a comfortable height for playing, and the truss rod has been checked to 60° left and right, so it is in perfect condition.
