The 2017 Fender Custom Shop Eric Clapton Stratocaster Journeyman Relic 2-Tone Sunburst has arrived! This guitar features an ash body with a Journeyman Relic finish, a rare find for a Clapton model. It features a 2-Piece Select Ash body with a Lacquer finish and a Journeyman Relic finish. The neck is made of Rift Sawn Maple. The fingerboard has a 9.5R radius. The neck profile features a “Soft V” shape, which feels comfortable in your hand and allows for easy bending and vibrato. The frets are “Vintage-Style” with 22 frets. The tremolo block is secured with a piece of wood. This guitar, too, was Eric Clapton’s signature, featuring a synchronized tremolo system secured with a piece of wood, rather than a hardtail, to achieve his desired tone. The guitar features Vintage Noiseless Single-Coil Strat pickups, delivering a clear, low-noise sound. The controls include the familiar Clapton TBX tone control with low-cut and a mid-boost function for powerful, fat lead tones. This guitar offers a wide range of tone control at your fingertips.
