The 1953 Telecaster Journeyman Relic Nocaster Blonde, the model ordered from the factory tour last September, is in stock.
It is a recommended model based on the model that was exhibited only for dealers who participated in the factory tour, and the price is kept down while changing the specifications.
It has a two-piece ash body, a one-piece maple neck with a chase eye, a “50-51 Blackguard” front that aims for the open and withered sound of the earliest Broadcaster and Nocaster, and a thick, straight-sounding OBG (Original Blackguard).
The neck shape uses the 11/56 OFF CENTER “V”, which was newly added to the lineup by the custom shop a few years ago. As the name suggests, the shape is measured from the vintage of the neck date of November ’56, and like the Wolfgang and Axis, the apex of the back of the neck is changed from the middle to the first string side to improve playability. It is a soft V with a moderate thickness, and it is a shape that exists even in the Blackguard period until 54.
The combination of 7.25-9.5 compound Diaz &6105 frets, and the playability is also good.
