Description
The long-awaited revival of the USA Late Cargo Model “American Vintage II” is now in stock!
The American Vintage series, which was unfortunately discontinued in 2018 and replaced the American Original series, is back in 2022!
The American Vintage II is an extremely accurate recreation of the innovative electric guitar and bass that changed the history of music. With a body shape that faithfully reflects the specifications of the time, neck, hardware configuration, premium finish, and age-specific pickups, this piece encapsulates the essence of genuine Fender craftsmanship and tone.
The late ’50s and early ’60s were a turning point with the introduction of many of the iconic new features of Precision Bass. By 1960, the Precision Bass’s design shifted from Telecaster-style design elements to Stratocaster-style design, featuring head-shaping, contouring, pickguard mount electronics, and a four-saddle bridge. Painted in 3-Color Sunburst and equipped with a 4ply tortoiseshell pickguard, the 1960 Precision Bass got a universal, sophisticated styling.
Specs include a premium alder body, a Pure Vintage ?60 Split-Coil P-Bass pickup, and a 1960 “C” shape maple neck with a 7.25-inch radius slab rose fingerboard with 20 vintage tall frets. It brilliantly reproduces the sound and feel of the original model produced in 1960.
A long-awaited one for fans who stoically pursues a vintage style with a nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
