American Ultra II Jazz Bass features a select alder body with a deep body contour. The quarter-sawn maple neck has a Modern “D” neck shape and a comfortable Ultra Satin finish on the back of the neck. The ebony fingerboard with a 10-14 inch compound radius features Ultra rolled edges with carefully rolled edges, medium jumbo frets, phosphorescent Luminlay side dots and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut. The tapered neck heel and deep body contour are designed to make playing in the high positions smooth. The head-adjust type truss rod allows for quick neck adjustment.

Equipped with Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Jazz Bass pickups, it delivers a wide range of superb sounds, from vintage-style warm tones to crisp modern tones, without any hum noise. The patented S-1 switch, Fender’s exclusive technology, allows you to switch between active and passive pickup modes, with a tone control when passive and an active 3-band EQ tone control that allows you to adjust the mid-range frequency band when active! with highly practical functions and beautiful hardware, such as an adjustable HiMass top-load / string-through-body bridge, Fender lightweight tuning machines with tapered shafts, knurled aluminum knobs, and 1-ply anodized pickguard.

Ultra II Noiseless Vintage pickups deliver the best Jazz Bass growl with a responsive, expressive, noiseless, outstanding Fender tone. Ultra II Noiseless pickups feature an evolved, special stacked coil design, with a top coil wound on an Alnico V rod magnet to produce true single-coil Fender tone. An isolated bottom coil maintains tone and adjusts to eliminate hum noise.
