This model is a reproduction of the world-famous Les Paul Standard, commonly known as “Greeny”, from the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop. It

has worked with famous guitarists such as Peter Green and Gary Moore, and is currently owned by Kirk Hammett of the big metal band Metallica.
Not only does it have a distinctive look, such as a flashy and vividly grained maple top, a head where the Les Paul Model decal has peeled off over time leaving only the Gibson logo, and control knobs that combine top hat knobs and metal hat knobs from different eras, but it also faithfully reproduces the strong individuality that is essential to reproducing the “Greeny”, such as the inverted magnet of the front pickup, which outputs an out-of-phase sound when in the mix position.

The “Aged Gloss” finish reproduces the texture unique to vintage guitars that have lost their luster over time, the truss rod cover reproduced with vintage specifications, the traditional style ABR-1 bridge and stop tailpiece, Gibson pickups, Switchcraft toggle switch / output jack, CTS pots, Mallory capacitors, and a hard case with the original logo printed on it are all premium specifications unique to the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop series.
