Jimi Hendrix is widely recognized as the most innovative guitarist in rock music, and he took the guitar to new heights.
Epiphone, through its relationship with Gibson Custom and the Hendrix family, is releasing a reproduction of the guitar Jimi used from 1967 to 1969, the Jimi Hendrix “Love Drops” Flying V, from Inspired by Gibson Custom.
Jimi’s beloved Flying V was originally finished in sunburst, but was refinished to ebony and then hand-painted by Jimi Hendrix himself with psychedelic graphics.
The Jimi Hendrix “Love Drops” Flying V we are releasing this time faithfully reproduces that design. It

features a mahogany body, a mahogany one-piece neck with a rounded round C profile, a laurel fingerboard, and 22 medium jumbo frets.
The back of the 1967-style Flying V headstock features the “Inspired By Gibson Custom” logo and a replica of Jimi’s signature. Equipped
with Epiphone deluxe tuners and a short Maestro Vibrola.
The electronics section is equipped with Gibson Custombucker humbucker pickups, CTS potentiometers, Mallory tone capacitors, Switchcraft 3-way pickup select switch and 1/4-inch output jack.
Comes with an Epiphone hardshell case with the “Inspired by Gibson Custom” and “Authentic Hendrix” logos.
