The mahogany body with a deep cutaway for better access to the upper positions is a design inherited from the original Charvel San Dimas bass of the late 1970s. The

super-thin bolt-on maple Charvel Speed ​​neck follows the original styling and has a gorgeous caramelized finish, built-in graphite reinforcement rod, and heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel for excellent rigidity and adjustment. The caramelized maple fingerboard with a 12-16 inch compound radius gradually flattens from the nut to the neck heel, providing smooth playing along the entire length of the neck. As with
the original, the Pro-Mod San Dimas® Bass PJ IV MAH is equipped with high-power DiMarzio® pickups. The bridge is equipped with a punchy Model J™ pickup, and the middle is equipped with a Model P® pickup that adds midrange stickiness to a warm and fat tone. It is equipped with controls that allow for versatile sound design, such as a 3-band active EQ, pickup blend control, and master volume with push/pull selector. The push/pull selector bypasses the EQ’s active circuitry and switches to analog circuitry with a flick of the volume knob, so you don’t have to worry about battery life.
The Charvel HiMass™ bridge, Graph Tech® TUSQ® XL nut, and open-gear tuning machines improve tuning stability and tonal punch and sustain.
Available in Natural Mahogany with gold hardware and Satin Ferrari Red with chrome hardware. Both models feature cream-colored pickup covers and a Fender-licensed Precision Bass headstock.
