This time, we have received a lightweight 50W tube amplifier “St. James 50 EL34 Combo”.

This model was launched in response to the expectations of players who wanted a tube amplifier that was lightweight and easy to carry.
The best feature is the weight. Boasting an astonishing light weight of 12.8 kg for a 50W tube amplifier, it is literally lightweight and portable, and can be carried to home, studios, and live venues with footwork that is incomparable to conventional tube amps.

In terms of sound, it is a high-quality tube sound that is unique to Blackstar. Channel 1 has a clean sound with a well-balanced frequency range as a motif of a mid-60s US amplifier. Channel 2 uses the motif of a UK amp from the early 60s to produce a clean to mild drive sound. The drive tone combined with the pedals, the low mid and the rambunctious high frequencies are matched and become a popular channel.
In addition, it is equipped with a boost switch, and you can change the sound to a juicier sound by boosting the preamp part by +10dB.

This model is equipped with a speaker simulator “Cab Rig” that connects to the free Architect software to experience speaker cabinets and room ambients with ultra-low latency.
