the Jazz Bass, was born from Fender salesman Don Randall’s desire for a more refined, high-end bass model. The neck width was updated to be narrower for faster and easier playing, and the sleek new body style adopted the offset contour style of the Jazzmaster. In 1966, the Jazz Bass evolved even further with new features.

Featuring a comfortable 1966 “U”-shaped maple neck and a 7.25″-radius round rosewood fingerboard with 20 vintage tall frets, the American Vintage II 1966 Jazz Bass brings you right back to 1966 with its playability and feel. Features include white neck binding, pearl dots, two volume controls with master tone and a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard. A 4-saddle bridge, vintage-style lollipop tuners and Pure Vintage ’66 Jazz Bass pickups provide classic sound and style.
