We have a 2006 Custom 24 in stock. I recall that Whale Blue was the most common blue PRS color available in Japan at the time… This Royal Blue doesn’t have a natural binding finish, but since it’s a blended solid color, you can see the grain of the wood on the back as well as the body top. This allows you to see the grain and texture of the mahogany, which may be a nice touch. While the body top spec isn’t a 10-top, it’s made of quilted maple, which allows you to see the flecks.

[Overall Condition]

While the exterior shows signs of wear and tear over its 19th year, there are no apparent issues with the wood or parts, and experienced buyers of used guitars may appreciate this beautiful, clean instrument. From the tip of the headstock to the end of the body, there are small and large dents and scratches, including paint damage. However, curiously, there are no traces of belt buckles or pants rivets, suggesting that the guitar was not used in band activities. While the metal parts show signs of tarnish and oxidation, we hope you will appreciate this as a sign of the art of aging. The original 2005 pots and pickups are included, and the controls appear to be virgin solder. (There is a noticeable odor in the inner fabric of the original HC, likely due to storage conditions, but spraying with deodorizer and drying in the shade a few times may improve this.)

As of 2025, royal blue is a discontinued color, so why not find a unique PRS that’s a little different from everyone else’s?
