[S2 Series]
S2 stands for “Stevensville 2.”
During development of this series, we decided to launch it as a separate series from the CORE line, and established an independent production line (2nd Line) in our Maryland workshop (Stevensville), hence the name.

By simplifying the body shape, unifying the neck scale and shape, introducing a new finish process, and combining newly developed hardware with that used in the CORE line, we have achieved efficiency in the guitar itself and options.

The S2 Custom 24 follows the design of PRS’s flagship Custom 24, paring down functionality while maintaining exquisite aesthetics. While retaining the classic maple top/mahogany back combination, this model features a classic body shape and asymmetrical beveled top, producing a powerful sound.
The combination of USA-made 85/15 pickups and a 5-way blade switch creates a variety of tones, just like the flagship Custom 24.

While familiar to veteran PRS players, it will feel fresh for newcomers, satisfying the needs of a wide range of players across a wide range of genres.

Marking the 10th anniversary of the S2 Series’ launch, a new update comes standard with pickups and electronics made in the USA (Maryland). PRS believes this update adds special value to the S2 Series and further strengthens its already compelling product lineup.

The S2 Series also features a high-gloss nitro finish (all lacquer), achieving the same quality as the Core model.
