10-top specification! The latest specification “Custom 24-08” with new TCI pickups!

The Custom 24 is also known as the synonym of PRS, and has always been the core model of PRS since its announcement at Winter NAMM in 1985.

The Custom 24-08 inherits the basic specifications of the Custom series, such as maple top, mahogany back and neck, 24 frets, 25-inch scale, and PRS original design Gen III tremolo unit, while the TCI pickup and two mini switches for coil tapping allow for eight different sound making variations. In addition to PRS’s high playability and reliability, please check out the Custom 24-08, which has a wide range of sound making.

The peg button has been updated from the 2024 model, and a wing peg designed to imitate the Cooper’s Hawk used in the 12th fret bird inlay is adopted.

This wing peg is based on the one Paul designed in 1982, and is lighter than the old metal pegs, suppressing the attenuation of the midrange and sustain, achieving a longer long tone and a more musical sound. The

change from the conventional 85/15 pickup to the TCI pickup produces a clear, musical sound with a sense of attack and a core. It is also characterized by its rich dynamics, and is very responsive to the player’s touch and picking style, capturing the subtle nuances of the sound and enabling expressive playing. The shape
of the pickup seems to be categorized as a “mini humbucker”, but the sound output seems to be more like a “P-90” type.

The previous model had a fully completed sound, but I was surprised that it would continue to evolve. Once you play it, you will understand the meaning of the “musical sound” officially advertised.
