Description

The Ibanez AZ series has won overwhelming acclaim from professionals and amateurs alike!
The AZ is a turning point in history that has completely changed the image of the brand as being all about metal or only specialized in semi-hollow and full-hollow guitars. It
can be played in all genres, and it has the specs required for modern guitars such as a roasted neck and stainless steel frets, and is also a highly cost-effective model that has taken the world by storm.
Please try out the famous “AZ2402” that has established its position from “boom” to “royal road”. This model is loved by

many professional musicians because it covers the playability and sound required for today’s electric guitars at a high level, such as 24 frets, HH arrangement, mini switch sound variations, and ergonomically processed body cutaways, and is loved by many professional musicians. This time, the popular color Pearl White Flat is now in stock!

This is a popular series that has been made into signature guitars by world-famous guitarists such as Timothy Henson of Poliphia, Scott Lepage, Martin Miller, and Tom Quayle.
This is a guitar that we can wholeheartedly recommend to guitarists who are looking for the perfect combination of looks, playability, and sound.

The following is the manufacturer’s description.

Ibanez believes that there is no basis for a guitar’s “good sound,” but rather that what is there is the “sound you want.” We
also believe that each part and design is not independent of each other, but that the sound character is defined by being in tune with each other, and that the sound you want can be obtained as a result.
In order to achieve the “sound” desired by modern players, the AZ is filled with the DNA of guitar making that Ibanez has accumulated so far.
The Ibanez AZ series is a fusion of modernity and experience, a new standard born from time and the times.

– S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple 1pc neck
The fingerboard and neck are made of S-TECH treated maple.
Estech treatment is a nitrogen heating treatment technology for wood developed in Miyagi Prefecture, and its use as a guitar material is the first in the world.
Estech wood has characteristics such as shape stability, durability against warping, water resistance, and resistance to temperature changes, and has been patented in Japan for these characteristics. After
numerous prototypes and verifications, it was concluded that the best neck thickness was 20.5*22.5 (at 1F*12F).
In addition, an oil finish is used for the finish, which has the texture of a well-played guitar neck.

・Oil-impregnated bone nut /Stainless Steel Frets
The nut is made of oil-impregnated cow bone.
The smoothness of the nut greatly contributes to tuning stability, and it achieves resonance like a vintage guitar. The frets are made of stainless steel with a crown width of 2.7mm/height of 1.4mm and Hv220. It is easy to maintain, has a fast sound rise, good separation even when playing chords, and produces a clear sound even when playing notes.

・Super All Access Neck JointThe
“Super All Access” neck joint is carved in steps with a height difference of 8 mm from the back of the body, and the joint with the neck is finished to a spherical surface to achieve high playability.
The cutaway on the bass string side is designed to be shallow, maximizing the surface area between the body and the neck, achieving high playability while also achieving good sustain and resonance.

・An ergonomic body back contourAn
original body shape aiming for a contemporary design.
The thin body contour and large elbow contour create a sense of unity between the player and the guitar, greatly contributing to improved playability. In addition, the deep waist of the body makes it easy to handle when holding it or on stage, achieving high playability. The corner R is different between the front and back of the body, and it is an ergonomic design that feels a sense of fit the moment you hold the guitar regardless of whether you are sitting or standing.

・Seymour Duncan Hyperion PickupsWe
obtained more than dozens of pickups and measured the frequency characteristics of all of them. From among them, we determined the specifications and sound image of the pickup that we thought would be best suited for the AZ, and created this pickup exclusively for the AZ in collaboration with Seymour Duncan, a pickup brand with a long history and still continuing to make new efforts. This custom pickup has a slightly lower output so that the original sound remains clean even when distorted, and focuses on the followability and reproducibility of picking.
From the treble to the bass, or from the 1st string to the 6th string, we placed importance on the total balance and pursued good effect ride. All magnets are Alnico-5.

・dyna-MIX 9 switching system with Alter switch
With a single switch, you can freely switch between humbucker and single coil modes, ensuring a wide range of sound variations. This switching system is suitable for modern guitar players who have to play multiple roles with limited equipment.
●Alter switch
SSH model…The neck and center single coils are wired in series to simulate the sound of a 22F neck humbucker.
