Gibson SG Deluxe Cherry (1971 Vintage)

The SG series has undergone many specification changes, but in 1971 it was renewed to a lineup of SG Custom, Deluxe, and Professional, and a distinctive half-moon shaped control cavity was used to improve production efficiency.
However, for some reason, it was only changed in about two years. Since
then, the lineup and shape have changed in various ways to reach the present day.

Description

This model is the “SG Deluxe”, which is a standard in the SG series. It has a mahogany one-piece body, a mahogany three-piece neck with a volute and a nut width of about 39 mm, and a rosewood fingerboard with small block inlays, but it has a somewhat luxurious impression with a Bigsby and an original Grover.

The pickups have been replaced with “Smoggy Pickups” from YOS Guitars & Basses.
The sound is very clear, with a beautiful balance of the separation of each string and the clearness of the low midrange to high range, and a direct sound is clearly expressed. You can enjoy the solid crispness, and it is a masterpiece that makes you want to play it for a long time.
The wide range tone rich in dynamics in the center position will hit you in the chest.

The Bigsby has been removed and a stop tailpiece has been installed.

The original frets are low, but it can be played without any problems, and the truss rod/neck condition is good and it can still be used.

When it arrived, the pickguard and control panel were installed with a different design, and we installed a pickguard and control panel that faithfully reproduced the original.

There are extra holes for a different type PG on the top of the body, and extra holes for bigsby and a different type of tailpiece on the bottom and end of the body, some of which are filled and some are left as they are.
Other strap pins, pegs, jacks, bridges, tailpieces, and earth wires have been replaced.

Combined with discoloration, weather checking, scratches and dents, it’s just rock! The finish
is very cool, and the design of the control panel is somewhat mechanical.
