The third FB model from “Three Dots Guitars”, which was launched with the concept of providing playability and reliability that allows the instrument to be picked up at the store can be used as it is in the professional field, and providing the instrument at an affordable price, has appeared. Under the supervision of bassist Tak Saito, who is deeply involved in the workshop, and Yoshiyuki Kikuchi, a luthier representing Japan, the model that will become the base No. 3 has been completed here.
The long-awaited third bass will be a funk bass that combines “tone” and “playability of the player” to create Groove, from the funk music that swept the world in a huge whirlpool with the mirror ball in the late 70s to the modern minimal funk music.
Although it has a classic contour-free body, it adopts a slightly smaller Dinky shape for ease of handling. In addition, the heel cut at the neck joint makes it easy to approach the high position, and the body shape is designed to be easy to play without unreasonable form, and the P-nut width neck combined with the flat top body makes it not only high playability, but also a powerful punch and a rich sound.
The original pickup developed for this model produces a vintage-like sound that makes you feel that sound from the 70s, but in order to ensure a wide range, the output is suppressed, the peak is moved to the midrange, and the pickup is tuned so that the sound separation is better. It reproduces all the nuances of picking and fingering. The change in tone and the fact that it is finished passively in order to express the emotions that the player wants to convey as it is also a strong commitment to the brand. And by default, parallel (parallel) connection, series (series) connection can be switched by pulling the Push/Pull tonepot, and the output is doubled without sacrificing good separation, and you can choose a powerful and punchy sound.
It is not a unique specification that is strange, but a simple passive style that makes you feel the brand’s strong commitment that is consistent. With a thick sound that sets it apart from general vintage reissues and an astonishing value for money, it is certain to become a brand / model that will have a large presence in the future as a practical model for players.
From this production, the body has been changed to ash, PG mount, the head shape has been changed to the same shape as “Kikuchi Guitars” by Mr. Kikuchi, and the fingerboard surface has been changed to a single dot.
Please experience the quality of the world’s world-class domestic models.
